Edgar Adams, AFAIM

Edgar Adams has lived on the NSW Central Coast for over thirty years. His experience covers manufacturing, accounting and financial management, retail, importing and exporting, tourism and transport.

He started his first business more than forty years ago and in the years that have followed has built up an enormous store of knowledge on the issues that concern people in business.

Edgar established the regional business magazine, Central Coast Business Review, of which he is Editor and Publisher. In 1990, Edgar researched, collated and published the first investment prospectus for the Central Coast region, which is now published annually and highly respected among investors and the local business community.

He was also instrumental in establishing Hunter Business Review, a similar business magazine in the Hunter Region of NSW and subsequently researched and edited an investment prospectus for the Hunter Economic Development Corporation.

Edgar has been closely involved with many community and business organisations over many years, serving on committees and boards of directors. He has a close relationship with government at all levels.

Edgar is a Central Coast and Hunter Ambassador and presently a Director of the Central Coast Manufacturers’ Association.

Kerry Ruffels

Kerry Ruffels' most recent position was General Manager of the Central Coast's economic development organisation, Business Central Coast. He brings to Adams Business Insight significant experience in the field of inward investment via government agencies.

Kerry started his career in banking in Tasmania and then moved to retailing where he successfully ran his own business in a highly competitive field. His interest in sport resulted in him taking a position with NSW Cycling Federation as Executive Director which led to him joining the Australian Olympic Committee as National Manager in the lead up to and following the 2000 Olympic Games.

Kerry has exceptional business development skills with particular emphasis on relationship marketing and negotiating at all levels. He is a proven business builder and effective communicator at all levels and in all forums. He has an ability to share a vision and then develop and implement the plan - translating concepts into reality.

A keen sportsman, he is the immediate past President of Cycling NSW and is currently involved in two community boards serving as a director.
